Detroit Handling Systems will handle bottom ash, fly ash, and pyrites from stoker fired, pulverized coal fired, fluid bed fired steam generating units, hot water generators and other types of systems where solid fuels are burned. Ash from the various collecting points is pneumatically conveyed to the ash storage silo. The ash stored in the silo is unloaded at regular periods to trucks or railroad cars for final disposal without creating a dust nuisance, and with a minimum of labor.
