The Detroit^® Rotary Sand Classifier is designed to enhance combustion of wood refuse efficiency by separating unburned carbon from sand in wood char. Its unique build efficiently removes noncombustible materials that enter boiler collection hoppers, which helps reduce wear and extends maintenance intervals. Our rotary sand classifier is perfect for wood and bark firing applications, especially when it comes to increasing combustion efficiency and maintaining the lifespan of the boiler system.

• Durable Build: The design of the Detroit® Rotary Sand Classifier features heavy-duty cast iron wheels, as well as stainless steel, corrosion-resistant sizing screens (10–18” mesh) for long-lasting operation.
• Convenient Maintenance Access: Our design also has a quick-clamp top cover which allows easy access to internal components for maintenance and cleaning.
• Flexible Motor Positioning: Users can install the fan-cooled gear motor at either the inlet or discharge end, which allows for far more versatility in the overall installation.
• Seamless Flow During Maintenance: The design’s integrated diverter enables fly ash redirection to the waste stream during downstream maintenance.
